Does the Demonstration Garden sound interesting to you?

Of course the very best way to know what’s happening in the demonstration garden is to volunteer. We work every Monday and Thursday morning, from 9am until noon, at the original garden (6801 SE 60th Avenue) and at the newer Annex (6640 SE 57th Avenue). Drop by during those times and see what we’re doing. We might even let you pull a weed (or a carrot!).

We also offer some email methods to track what is happening. We have three email groups, aka listserves, that you can join.

To track what work is done in the garden, sign up for DemoGardenReports. After each work day, you’ll receive a short email describing the “scene”, as well as a spreadsheet showing just what tasks were accomplished.

To be in on the actual planning of what will happen, know what our problems (and successes) are, an even participate in the discussion, sign up for DemoGardenPlanning. Among other things you’ll get the agendas and minutes of our bi-monthly meetings, as well as the implied invitation to join the meetings.

To get advanced notice of Demo Garden happenings - work days, classes, special projects, etc., sign up for DemoGardenNews.Roughly monthly you’ll be notified of these events in advance, and in the case of classes, have an early chance to sign up.

If you’d like to be on any (or all) of these lists, send an email to and specify which list you are interested in receiving. Should you lose interest in the group, every message you receive contains and “unsubscribe” link. Just click it, and your gone. One caution: if you forget to say what list your are interested in, the default is just DemoGardenNews.
