Now’s the best time to clean and store your cocoons for the winter since the cocoons are dormant the months of October-November.

 carefully remove cocoons from trays or tubes

 agitate cocoons for 3-5 min. in bath of cold water combined with 5% bleach (1 quart cool water/3.5 T bleach ), Drain and rinse in fresh water, lay cocoons out to dry on a towel before storing for the winter

 cocoons can be stored in the refrigerator, take care to make sure there is both moisture & ventilation for the cocoons.
