Tuesday December 11th 6:30 PM, Tabor Space 5441 SE Belmont St, Portland, OR 97215
Spend an evening with fellow Master Gardeners. Enjoy sweet treats, warm beverages, and holiday music, while Chapter gurus and friends offer guidance in making your wreath, swag, centerpiece, or other creative decorations.
Board members will round up some greens, but we’d love to have cuttings from your garden to share, too:
- evergreen boughs
- incense cedar
- rosemary (15-inch stems work well in wreaths)
- anything with berries (beauty berry, juniper, or nandina)
- interesting cones or seedpods
- attractive textures, variegation, or bark
You’ll need decorating supplies—wreath rings, baskets, vases, or other items (metal, glass or straw) that can be used to create a beautiful winter arrangement/wreath or swag. Please bring items for yourself or extras that you would like to share. The Chapter will have wire, oasis, and some ribbon.
Bring your own pruners, wire cutters, gloves (mark them with your name to avoid confusion), containers for arrangements, and ribbon.
Since this is not a public event please dust off your favorite holiday recipes and bring batch of home made treats to share with your fellow MGs. Hospitality will supply our usual tea and coffee, plus possibly some sparkling cider.
If you can help lend a hand for this fun winter event whether that be set-up, clean-up, or picking up supplies/greens, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
