You’ll find heirlooms and hybrids among our proven varieties of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, eggplants, squash, greens, and herbs. Attract beneficial insects by purchasing the beautiful Disco marigolds that have been grown by our Demonstration Garden crew.
Check out our availability list with detailed plant descriptions.
Visit our Gardeners’ Goods booth to pick-up row cover at a great price, plus tools that make gardening a breeze (hori-hori knives, harvest scissors, gama-hoes, Atlas garden gloves, heavy duty pruners, and stylin' garden totebags).
Plant. Grow. Eat. Workshops
Educational workshops will be scheduled throughout the day to inspire and facilitate new adventures in growing your own food. Master Gardeners Robin Greenwood and Eddie Rosen will cover gardening tips for the vegetable gardener (Beginning Vegetable Gardening, Successfully Growing Tomatoes and Pick a Peck of Prolific Peppers). Plus, special guest chefs, Joe Hickey from Noble Rot and our very own Kristen Rasmussen de Vasquez (founder of Rooted Food) will offer inspiration for getting your harvest on your table or into your picnic basket! For a complete schedule of workshops visit our Incredible Edibles Plant Sale webpage.
Our Incredible Event is for young and old alike. Tell your family and friends with kiddos and bring your own kids to the Kids Grow tent! There will be hands-on activities for the kids—led by a stellar crew of education-conscious MGs. Kids can plant some seed, check out a worm bin, take a close-up look at insects, and more!
Incredible Entertainment and Art!
Fun, lively, musical entertainment will add to our celebration. Come hear the Sellwood Middle School Marimba Band, classical music amazingly amplified from ARCO PDX, snappy American traditional tunes with Possum Six-Pack - plus festive, celebratory tunes served up by Brett Martin and OSU Master Gardener, Lukas Maurer, in Cántabro.
For a complete schedule of performances visit our Incredible Edibles Plant Sale webpage.

“Drama Queens of the Garden”,
Carol Westergreen, owner of Out in the Garden Nursery
Tuesday, May 8, 7:00pm
Taborspace - 5441 SE Belmont Street
There is so much more to a garden than flowers. Foliage colors and textures are just as critical to a beautiful garden as flower colors. In a 'show and tell' format, Carol Westergreen, owner of Out in the Garden Nursery, will bring, show, and talk about some wonderful plants that have fantastic foliage, many that are the Drama Queens of the Garden. Carol will introduce you to some of her favorite bold plants like Ligularia, Rodgersia, Aralia, and Edgeworthia and convince you that you need some of these beauties for your gardens!
