Oregon Pest Detector Training

Oregon Forest Pest Detectors help with the early detection of exotic forest pests. They are part of the front line of defense against these insects, helping to keep them from becoming established.

This free training is great for anyone who works or volunteers in urban or natural forests on a regular basis. You will learn how to identify the pests, their host trees, and their signs and symptoms; and what to do if you find an infested tree.

The next training in Portland will take place on Saturday, October 21st (9am – 12:30pm), at the Water Pollution Control Lab near Cathedral Park. ISA, LCB, NALP, and ODA pesticide applicator continuing education credits are available.
