Over the years, our Chapter Plant Swaps have been delightful gatherings where we have shared plants and garden stories.  We miss them!

As the result of suggested restrictions on plant swaps where there is movement of soil from one site to another, the Multnomah MG Chapter no longer hosts our plant swap in the spring and fall.  With Japanese beetle, crazy snake worm, and new pests each year, gardeners run the risk of spreading these pests.  To read more about this subject please follow this link: Guidance for Master Gardener Plant Sales

Going forward, we are working on ideas about a Seed Swap.  So, start harvesting seeds from your best performing plants and most spectacular flowers! Look for information in an upcoming eNews about this event.  For ideas and recommendations about collecting and saving seeds, here is a great, informative document from 10-Minute University about why and how to collect and save seeds.
